The city of Irving, Texas reached out to us looking for a unique activation for the 35th and final Byron Nelson PGA Tournament. With a Live Print Mosaic, each guest not only becomes part of the artistic installation, they help to build the actual work of art by hand-placing their photo.

To create this mosaic, we used a combination of photos taken onsite through a custom iPad app and photos posted through Twitter and Instagram using a unique hashtag (#VisitIrving).

Products & Services – How we provided the wow factor

Live Print Mosaic

      • Guests’ photos were printed onsite giving them the opportunity to hand-place their picture in the photo mosaic mural

Real-time Mosaic Creation

      • Using a dual processing technique to analyze photos for colors and shapes, each photo was placed in its optimal location for the best overall appearance

Submission Options

Onsite Photos

      • A brand ambassador captured guest photos in real-time at the event

iPad/Tablet Submission App

      • Web app for iPad customized for stationary or roaming photo submissions
      • Participant information captured (name, email, etc.) during submission process

Hashtag Submissions

      • Participants submitted Twitter and/or Instagram photos using a hashtag (e.g. #VisitIrving)
      • Captured: name, photo, and tweet/caption (public profiles only)

      • Each submitted photo was printed instantly by our high-speed, automated adhesive photo printers

Prize Locations

      • Several prize locations placed within the mosaic, designated by a specific branded icon

Onsite Tech Support and Build Team

      • Dedicated event staff aided guests while they placed their photo tiles on the mosaic
      • Proper testing and setup prior to live print mosaic event
      • Onsite technical support and configuration as needed
