We teamed up with Gale and Cengage Learning to unveil a unique photo-by-photo experience at the 2016 ALA Conference in Orlando. By using our advanced printing and mosaic building solutions, guests were able to have their photos taken and instantly printed. Every guest received their custom printed photo to hand-placed into the mosaic. Each new photo created anticipation among visitors as they watched this real-time photo-by-photo mosaic build, one photo at a time.

Digital Interactive Mosaic
- Guests’ photos were taken and instantly analyzed for optimal placement within the digital interactive mosaic, then inserted in real-time right on screen
Live Print Mosaic
- Guests’ photos were printed onsite giving them the opportunity to hand place their picture in the photo mosaic mural
Submission Options – How we got those photos on the mural
Onsite Photographer
- Brand Ambassador photographers
Onsite Photo App
- Web app used on tablets to allow brand ambassadors to take photos of guests and instantly analyze each picture for color and shapes
Social Media Submissions
- Participants submitted Twitter and/or Instagram photos using a hashtag (e.g. #MyLibraryPic)
- Participants made their submission through a Facebook post or comment
